Theatre director and writer

I am co-Artistic Director of the award-winning theatre company Breach, which creates politically engaged shows telling real-life stories. I tend to direct and co-write our shows, which have toured the UK and internationally. 

As a freelance director, I work mainly in new writing - often this has been queer and autobiographical work. 

As a visiting director, I’ve made shows at drama schools including RADA, LIPA and Guildhall and directed on the musical theatre MA at Mountview.  

I also lead workshops in devised, documentary and verbatim theatre - most recently for the Old Vic and National Theatre. My work with young people includes co-running Cambridge Junction’s young company for two years.

I’m always looking to work with new collaborators in new ways - at the moment, I am particularly interested in meeting writers with scripts in development. If you have a project or a proposal for how we might work together, please get in touch.
